Welcome to the Year 5, Home Learning page.

We hope you are all safe and well. 

As we begin what would have been the Summer term, we will be updating this page fortnightly with home learning tasks that you can complete with your child/ren. Please click the relevant button below.

 We hope this finds you all well and safe and as we move nearer to what would have been the end of the Spring term, it is likely you will be close to finishing your home learning packs.  As a result, we thought you may find these links, websites and activities useful for the weeks ahead.

Classroom Secrets is currently providing free online and printable resources for children.  A range of maths, reading, spelling and Grammar activities.

Twinkl has a range of activities, helpful videos, power points, worksheets, and interactive activities.

Hamilton Trust, are offering free resources in the form of learning packs for English and Maths.

White Rose Maths This resource follows the school's approach to maths.  Each week is divided into lessons with an interactive approach and then activities to complete and the all important answers.

The Literacy Shed is a great resource which is full of activities, online stories, videos and interactive tasks.

MathSphere has a range of resources and online games.

 

Mr Barton Mathshas a range of online resources, under different topics and useful how to tips.

The Maths Factordesigned and supported by Carol Vordeman, has a wealth of resources online.

Any budding writers, please share any stories, or writing undertaken during your time at home via the Year 5 email.

It goes without saying that time spent with your children doing activities such as gardening, baking, drawing, playing board games, bingo, arts and crafts, junk modelling etc will be equally as important and useful.

Please share and enjoy books, encourage your child to complete Spelling Shed activities and Times Table Rockstars on a daily basis.  These have been updated and set for a number of weeks in advance.
