Sports events

Year 4, 5 and 6 Cross Country

The children traveled to West View Primary School to compete in a Key Stage 2 cluster cross country event. The children enjoyed the afternoon and showed great determination to finish their respective races.                        

Some of the children commented on their experience.                                                                        


Year 3/4 Northern Lights Learning Trust Tag Rugby

The selected children headed to Hart Primary School to play tag rugby with other children in the Trust. The children showed great respect towards others and a passion to participate.  



Year 6 Boys Football

The boys, Year 6 football team, encountered their first competition this year at Brierton Sports Centre against other local school football teams. The children enjoyed the experience and demonstrated great teamwork.


Towns Final Cross Country

Following on from the cluster cross country event, we were delighted to have four of the children successfully getting through to the Towns Final held at High Tunstall College of Science. The children found the event a challenge, however they all showed great respect towards others and determination. Super effort!    


Year 6 Girls Football

The girls took part in their first Year 6 football competition, which was held at Brierton Sports Centre. The children improved as the event went on and showed great honesty and self belief. 





Year 6 Sports Crew Training

Let us introduce to you our Year 6 'Sports Crew'.

The children traveled to St. Hild's School to train to be part of a sports leaders crew. The children participated in various sporting activities and were provided with ideas to bring back to school to support others to engage in physical activity.



Change 4 Life Training

The children took part in sporting activities and had training on leading physical activities, which will be carried out during break times and lunchtimes.



Change 4 Life festival

The children from Year 3 and 4 who attended were given the opportunity to experience a range of different activities lead by the sports leaders. 


Year 6 Boys and Girls Basketball.

The children from year 5 and 6 took part in a basketball competition held at Hartlepool 6th Form.




Another basketball event gave other children the opportunity to have a go and experience the activity at another setting. 



Sports day

Children from Early Years to Year 6 had their sports days, where they participated in various events which included running, throwing and jumping activities.
