I am delighted to take on the role of Deputy Head at St Helen's Primary School and feel extremely privileged to be working within such a wonderful community. St Helen's is a very warm, welcoming environment to work in and I feel very passionate about the children who attend, the staff who work here and the wider school family. I have been teaching for 13 years after qualifying as a teacher in Hull and working recently as Assistant Headteacher, and am glad to finally be here in Hartlepool to start my next role in leadership. I am grateful to be given the opportunity to have an impact not just within the classroom walls, but working with teachers, parents and the wider community to ensure the best overall experience for the children who attend St Helen's. I have experience of leading both English and Maths across the whole school and across a Trust, with a particular interest in reading for pleasure and the impact it can have on the progress children make. I am also passionate about the arts and ensuring pupils get a rich, exciting curriculum to embrace their creativity which I know is mirrored here at St Helen's Primary School.
I am delighted to be part of a successful team who put the pupils at the heart of everything we do.
