Assistant Head Key Stage 2

 Mr Jennings

St Helen’s Primary School is the third school that I have worked in since beginning my teaching career. I have been a teacher now for 7 years, having previous worked in schools, colleges, universities and prisons for a further 5 with Middlesbrough Football Club’s Enterprise Academy.

Studying at Hull University and Northumbria University to attain my degree and PGCE. My teaching career to date has mainly been in KS2, with 3 years teaching in year six, working as a Numeracy Leader and Senior Leader in school to implement school improvement, playing a significant role in the school achieving ‘good’  grading from Ofsted. More recently, I have begun speaking at education conferences and other schools, passionately delivering on the importance of vocabulary within the school curriculum.

It is a privilege to be Assistant Head at St. Helen’s and be a part of our journey of school improvement for the children and the community of the historic Headland.
